Saif and Kareena to Dazzle Europe

Sunday, August 31, 2008 · 0 comments

After the thundering success of Kareena and Saif (not necessarily in that order) Sharjah show, the Morani brothers have come up with something really huge – they are organizing a series of shows across Europe.

Mohammed Morani said, “We are now organizing a series of shows across Europe and the Middle East. Saif and Kareena have a huge fan following in these places. People throng to the stadium to watch them especially after the success of Race and Jab We Met”.

He forgot to mention that they make a cracking pair too.

The show at Sharjah, where they gave solo performances was a rage and there is little reason why they shouldn’t do a rip roaring show together. Kareena Kapoor, who was bursting with excitement said that “The show had a crowd of 20,000 people and it was just amazing!”

Reportedly Saif Ali Khan is very excited about the European conquest and will give his hundred percent to the audience. The Saif - Kareena pair may look like a tabloid hogging publicity seeking version of Bonnie and Clyde but they sure know how to entertain their fans. We hope the European show comes together soon because we can’t hardly wait!

M. Night Shyamalan scares Mark Wahlberg

Saturday, August 30, 2008 · 0 comments

The director of The Sixth Sense once again showed signs of aliens abducting his top floor. Mark Wahlberg, who starred in Shyamalan’s misbegotten ‘The Happening’ revealed that the director told him never to use a gun ever again after filming ‘The Happening’.

Wahlberg was as shocked as you are. Here’s the excerpt from Wahlberg’s revelation.

…..

"Night gave me the worst advice he could have ever given me. He said, “After ‘The Happening’, you can never hold a gun again. You know that, right?”
I said, “Are you crazy?'”
He said, “I'm serious, don't ever hold a gun again.”
And I said, “I don’t know about that, man.'"
………….

As insane as it may sound, this mind bogglingly ludicrous incident really happened.

Night’s advice will particularly give cold feet to Wahlberg… especially since he stars in the ultra action packed Max Payne that releases on October 16th. In Max Payne Wahlberg brandishes revolvers, pistols, pump action shotguns, sawed off shotguns, grenades and rocket launchers.

Max Payne is a sleeping box office dragon - the trailers prove it. Wahlberg can’t stop raving about Payne’s final cut. "I guarantee you there's not a badder dude in a movie this year than Max Payne. This is like my character from The Departed, Fear, Four Brothers, all mixed into one, times ten."

In Max Payne there is a strange drug called Valkyr that induces hallucinations. Probably Shyamalan was the first test subjec

Michael Jackson Turns 50

Friday, August 29, 2008 · 0 comments

Its cake time for yesteryear's King of Pop. Michael Jackson celebrates his 50th bday today.

Michael Jackson has had a tumultuous career that spanned almost four decades. He was born in Indiana on Aug 29, 1958. Regardless of all the controversies, regardless of all the accusations, regardless of the creepy lifestyle, Wacko Jacko is one of the greatest entertainers of all time.

M.J had eight more siblings and appeared for the first time on TV at a tender age of 11. In 1969 the brothers created the famous band 'Jackson 5' that spawned hits like "ABC" and "I'll be there". Ten years later MJ went solo and released his smash hit debut album 'Off the Wall'. The album included hits like "Don't stop till you get enough"

Four years later, in 1982 MJ released the astoundingly successful album 'Thriller'. The album brought a renaissance to music marketing and pop music. John Landis directed the ubiquitous video of 'Thriller' that has since become a household name.

In 1987 MJ hired Martin Scorcese to direct the video for his new album single, Bad. And it turned out to be another stellar hit. The album contained pop hits "The Way You Make Me Feel", "Man in the Mirror" and "Dirty Diana". The album sold over 25 million copies worldwide, and shipped eight million units in the US.

Four more years later, in 1991 MJ's highly anticipated "Dangerous" released. This album had a rougher edge when compared to MJ's earlier work. Although critically not as successful, the modern audience loved the songs that included massive hits like "Black or White", "Heal the world", "Remember the time", "Jam", "In the closet" and "Give in to me".

His greatest hits, titled 'History' released in 1995 that had the enormously successful "Earth Song".

We wish MJ a Happy Birthday and hope that he makes a comeback that will silence all his critics.

Priyanka Chopra on Vogue this month

Wednesday, August 27, 2008 · 0 comments

If you happen to spot or even smell a sizzling hot edition of Vogue curdling in news stands, know that hottie Priyanka Chopra would be on its cover.

The hugely successful Bollywood starlet appears on this month's prestigious magazine, 'Vogue'.

Last month it was ab-elicious Amrita Aurora doing a Lara Croft on Maxim magazine, then there was a Red Hot Deepika Padukone burning up Maxim... now Priyanka follows their footsteps and in fact goes far ahead of the lot with her slick and sexy black dress. And that hair ain't too oldie either.

Priyanka Chopra made a splash in 2006 with massive hits like Don and Krrisshh appearing opposite bollywood bigwigs Shahrukh Khan and Hritik Roshan. Though 2007 was quite uneventful for Piggy Chops.

But Piggy makes a roaring comeback in 2008 with as many as SIX highly anticipated big budget films including Drona, Fashion and Dostana. God Tussi Great Ho and Love Story 2050 that released last month failed to click at the box office but Priyanka managed to garner some positive reviews and also cemented Harman Baweja's place is Bollywood.

Appearing on Vogue just made her a bigger star. So if you want to spend some quality time drooling non stop, this month's Vogue is just for you.

And for those who find Priyanka Chopra unhot, there's a treat for them too. Scarlett Johansson and Padma Lakhsmi make an appearance on the inside pages.

Vidya Balan wants to kill Shahrukh's wife

Monday, August 25, 2008 · 0 comments

Vidya Balan is a beautiful and a very talented actress. but she has a knack of staying in the tabloids for her weird comments. This time she really took the cake by saying that she wants to kill Gauri Khan. And why? Because she likes Shahrukh Khan so much.

Ok before you start thinking if Vidya has lost her marbles ... know that the comment was made just for kicks on Sajid Khan's TV show. Vidya, who worked with Sajid Khan in Heyy Baby felt quite casual and comfortable on his TV show. She spoke about two of the most embarassing moments of her life in front of the camera - one being the love scene with Sanjay Dutt in Parineeta and the other being a laugh out loud dance sequence in the TV serial Hum Paanch.

Sajid Khan even poked and nudged at her mischievously by asking her about picking between designers Manish Malhotra and Aki Narula. But Vidya cleverly ignored the question and continued to talk about her other roles, including the one where awards mysteriously eluded her - Majulika in Bhool Bhulaiyya.

Sajid, not known for accepting defeat made more fun of her when he fell asleep as Vidya sang Lage Raho Munnabhai's "Pal Pal".

Anyhow once again...Sharukh need not worry about Vidya Balan stalking him. Unless of course, he gets a phone call from her whispering S..s..s..s..s Shakrukh.

Hoodibaba! Lots of prayers have been finally answered! Babelicious Deepika Padukone crosses over to a very alluring black and appears on this month's edition of Maxim Magazine.

The Maxim edition is loaded with exclusive pics of Deepika... and it mentions that she is THE HOTTEST girl on earth. Unanimously agreed.

After the raging success of Om Shanti Om, Deepika has a busload of big budget movies in her kitty. Bachna Ae Haseeno with beau Ranbir Kapoor, Minissha Lamba and Bipasha Basu releases next week... Chandani Chowk to China with box office midas Akshay Kumar releases in October.

She certainly looks gorgeous in black leather. So if you are as stunned as we are, you might want to get in line and pick up a copy of Maxim before stocks run dry.
