Shakira is a shining example of true superstar and a great source of inspiration for many people. In 2007 over a million people visited Shakira's Oral Fixation Tour, and she has sold millions of albums. Shakira was rewarded for her outstanding performance with five Latin Grammy Awards in 2006!
Shakira is not only a talented musician, songwriter, singer and dancer, she is also a person with a great heart. She founded a charity organization, named Pies Descalzos (Barefoot), which helps thousands of children in Colombia to get a better life. Furthermore she is a Goodwill Ambassador for UNICEF, the UN agency to improve the health and well being of children around the world.
