Maria Yuryevna Sharapova, as everyone knows is a former World No. 1 Russian professional tennis player.

Sharapova has won three Grand Slam singles titles. As of July 2008, she is the world's highest-paid female athlete.

She lists fashion, movies, music and reading the Sherlock Holmes and Pippi Longstocking series as among her off-court interests, while she has also talked in the past about how she takes hip-hop dance classes.

In April 2005, People Magazine named her one of the 50 most beautiful celebrities in the world.

In 2006, Maxim magazine ranked Sharapova the hottest athlete in the world for the fourth consecutive year. She posed in a six-page bikini photoshoot spread in the 2006 Valentine's Day issue of the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue, alongside 25 scantily-clad supermodels.

In a poll run by Britain's FHM magazine, she was voted the seventh most eligible bachelorette, based on both "wealth and looks."

Maria Sharapova was the Hottest Olympic athlete of 2008.


The Beijing Olympics brought fame, glory, immortality. The whole world watched the grandeur of the athletes winning their wreaths.

And the participants were not half bad looking either.

Tatiana Golovin is a French Tennis Player of Russian descent.

She has won the 2004 French Open mixed doubles event with fellow Frenchman Richard Gasquet, and has also reached the singles quarterfinal at the 2006 U.S. Open, losing to Maria Sharapova.

This 20 year old has appeared on FHM magazine and a barrage of ads... for obvious reasons.

Golovin actually had to pull out in the middle of the 2008 Olympics because of a back injury. We hope she gets back on the court asap.





Stephanie Rice is a swimmer from Brisbane, Australia. She holds the world record in the 200 m individual medley.

She is a Commonwealth Gold medalist in the 200 metres Individual Medley from the 2006 Commonwealth Games in Melbourne, She also won the 400 m individual medley.the same year. Breaking the previous Australian record by a second, she won a bronze medal in the 200 m individual medley in a time of 2 minutes 11.42 seconds At the 2007 Melbourne World Championships.

At the 2008 Australian Olympic trials, Rice broke the world record in the 400 m individual medley by clocking 4 minutes 31.46 seconds , 1.43 seconds less than the previous best. She also broke a second world record when she broke the 200 m individual medley world record, clocking 2 minutes 8.92 seconds.

Rice is romantically linked with fellow Australian swimmer and 50m Freestyle world record holder Eamon Sullivan… God bless him.


Victoria Pendleton is an English world champion track cyclist.

At the 2004 Summer Olympics, she finished 6th in the women's time trial and 9th in the women's 200m sprint. She won silver in the women's 500m time trial and gold in the women's sprint in Melbourne at the 2006 Commonwealth Games.

She was named Sports Journalists' Association of Great Britain's sportswoman of the year and also the Sunday Times Sportswoman of the Year for 2007, becoming the only cyclist to win the award in its 20-year history.

On the glamorous side she appeared on Observer Sports Magazine in which she emulated a naked pose that Annie Leibovitz had created for cyclist Lance Armstrong … and another in which she was seen crouching next to a cycle in a "little black dress" and wielding a spanner.

"Believe me,” she said, “I don’t look that great in lingerie.” . Well we can’t possibly believe that.



Lauren Elizabeth Jackson (also called LJ, Loz or Lozza) is an Australian professional basketball player.

She has won national championships in the U.S., Australia, and Russia, and a world championship as well. She is widely considered to be the best Australian female basketball player of all time and one of the best players in the world.

In the 2004 Summer Olympics in Athens, Greece, her team, The Opals were silver medalists. The Opals earned the gold medal in the 2006 Commonwealth Games.

Jackson was reportedly paid over $100,000 to play a few games with a Russian club before the 2005 WNBA season. She also signed a three-year deal with a Seoul-based club Samsung.

Jackson posed nude in an Australian magazine, Black+White. There was no controversy as the magazine’s "artistic" approach to nude photography and its equal coverage of male and female athletes was well received. Jackson also posed for the 2005 edition of the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue.


Amanda Ray Beard is an American Olympic swimmer and model.

Beard has won eight US Nationals titles and she was first in a world ranking of 200m breaststrokers in 2003. In 2003 she became the world champion and world record holder in the 200-meter breaststroke. In the 2004 Athens Olympic Games, she won a gold medal in the 200-meter breaststroke and a silver medal in the 200-meter individual medley.

Amanda was placed eighth in the Toyota Grand Prix of Long Beach Celebrity car race in 2006.

As a model she has appeared in in FHM, the 2006 Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Edition, and she posed for the July 2007 issue of... hold you breath... Playboy!

She hosts her own sports talk show, "The Best Damn Sports Show Period". She was photographed nude in front of an American Flag for an anti-fur campaign for PETA



Alyona Volodymyrivna Bondarenko is a Ukrainian tennis player.

She won the 2008 Australian Open women's doubles tournament with sister Kateryna.

She is coached by her mother Natalia Bondarenko.

Her K-Swiss advertisement under the slogan "Keep it pure." lying on the tennis court with her blonde hair across her arms and a bare midriff tennis outfit has become very popular on fan sites.

Alona Bondarenko makes it to number 3 on our list.
